of Thailand, its history, culture and natural beauty.
Take an adventure to Umphang
a destination less traveled by the average tourist. The visitor to this
district will be witness to a beautiful nature and dense forest in the
largest and tranquil ambiance. The Umphang
Sanctuary has a motley mix of forests on its mountain slopes and many
animals, but is best known for the tallest waterfall in Thailand. The
picturesque Thi Law Su waterfall cascades down a classic
limestone staircase. Any lover of the natural world will find this exploration
an inspiration which will stay in your memory forever. So take a glimpse
at the natural surroundings, take in the interesting smells, enjoy the
natural sounds and take a deep breath of the forest’s fresh air as we
absorb this perfect atmosphere in the Thai wilderness. No hotels on this
expedition – instead we will camp and stay with the hill tribes people
in their village.

Day by Day Private Tour Itinerary
Day 1
Your guide will welcome you at Bangkok International Airport and will
transfer you to your hotel. En route, your guide will give an initial
introduction to Thailand and a program briefing. (specific interests &
aspects of sight-seeing can also be discussed at this time.)
Day 2
Start the day by taking a long tail boat cruise down the Chao Phraya River.
See the traditional houses precariously perched along the river. Along
the way, stop to visit the Temple of dawn, an extraordinary
feat of architecture and one of the most revered sights along the river,
and The Royal Barge Museum, to note the ornately carved
and gilded royal barges, much talked about by European visitors since
the 17th century, due to their grandeur.
After your boat trip, we will visit the exquisite Grand Palace
and Emerald Buddha Temple.
After a traditional Thai lunch at a local restaurant, we will head for
“Wat Pho” or The Reclining Buddha Temple.
Day 3
An early start sees us on the road to the famous Dameon Saduak
Floating Market Along the way we can see numerous agricultural
points of interest, such as the salt and shrimp farms and the coconut
farms.
After lunch at a local restaurant, we will hit the road to visit Jim
Thompson’s House, the famous museum of one of the silk industries
pioneers, consisting of a superb collection of antiques and paintings
representing countries from all over Asia.
Day 4
This morning we check out of our hotel and leave for The Bang
Pa In Summer Palace, used by the Royal Family for over three
centuries Continue on to the ancient city of Ayuttaya,
once the capital of Siam, which is protected and conserved by the
World Heritage Organisation. We will visit Wat Phra Srisanpet
and Wat Mongkol Bopit. Stroll around the age-old ruins and discover
how Ayuttaya grew to be one of
the most powerful cities in South-East Asia. In the evening,check in at
your hotel.
Day 5
After checking out from the hotel, we will drive to Sara Buri
to visit The Royal Temple of the Holy Footprint. Observe
the 5ft long sacred footprint, enshrined in the impressive building. Discover
why this site constitutes as one of the four most sacred temples in all
of Thailand.
After lunch, travel further to the town of Pitsanalok.
We will then drive to the distinguished Wat Mahathat, the provinces most
important religious structure. This temple houses the major spectacle
of Sukhothai Art, Phra
Buddha Chinaraj – an awe-inspiring sculpture. Continue to Sukhothai,
you will check in to your hotel.
Day 6
After breakfast, to get an insight into the history of this area, we will
start out the day’s adventure at The Ramkangkeng National Museum.
Then, move on to begin discovering the cities ruins of Royal Palaces,
several Buddhist temples, city gates, walls, moats, canals, ponds and
the water dyke control system which was the spiritual center of the Kingdom.
After lunch, we continue to Mae sod
Day 7
It’s an early start as we embark on our journey to Umphang
Wildlife Sanctuary. On arrival, we will head for the river to
board our raft. Along the way we will see Thi Lor Jor Waterfall
and also stop at the natural phenomena of the hot springs, we
will continue rafting for a while before docking. Tonight will camp along
the river.
Day 8
This morning, after breakfast we will continue rafting for another 2 hours
then begin our trek through the forest to Thi Law Su waterfall.
This waterfall is the largest and most beautiful in Thailand. Explore
the beauty, enjoy a swim and relax by this breath-taking waterfall for
the rest of the afternoon. This evening we will camp underneath the stars
at the waterfall campsite among the sounds of natural wildlife.
Day 9
After a hearty breakfast, we will begin our days trekking through the
jungle paths, stopping periodically to learn about different plants, trees,
birds and wildlife on the way, visit khotha waterfall.
The day’s final destination is a Karen Hill Tribe Village where
we will enjoy a freshly prepared dinner and enjoy the hospitality of the
tribe as they invite us to stay over night in the village.
Day 10
After breakfast, we will hike to the elephant camp to meet with the elephants.
Enjoy the rhythmic movements aboard the elephant as we explore the beautiful
nature and wildlife along our journey. Say goodbye to the elephant and
Mahouts as they drop you at your transportation for the drive back to
overnight in Mae Sod.
Day 11
Morning we will leave Maesod for Chiangmai,
on the way we will visit Wat Phrathat Lampang Luang –
a monument to fine Lanna art and architecture. Visit Elephant
Conservation Center On arrival Chiangmai Check in at your hotel.
Day 12
The most famous temple in Chiang
Mai, located at the top of Doi Suthep Mountain, is
our first port of call after breakfast. Once you have reached the temple,
you can enjoy the best views of Chiang
Mai city, from 3,000ft above the ground. Learn about the history of
this temple and how it came to be constructed so high up the mountain.
After lunch, we will take a trip to the town of San Kampaeng. This town
is the home of Thailand’s famous Handicrafts. You can
discuss specific handicrafts of your interest with your guide, such as
umbrella making, silk, silver, wood carving etc.
Day 13
Check out of your hotel and transfer to Chiang mai Airport for your flight
to Bangkok.
At Bangkok, connect to your next
chosen destination.
