Chiang Mai Day Trip
WT - 01 Walking Tour/ Market & Old City Tour By Rickshaw Ride and on foot
A great and fun way to get to know the area and experience the authenticity of Northern Thai cuisine. Meet at the hotel. Today first stop will be the Kad Muang Mai, a must-see wholesale farmer market of various types of fresh local grown produces in Chiang Mai. Food comes straight from the farm and sell direct from the back of the farmers’ trucks. The freshness and variety is astonishing to us who used to buying from western supermarket. Then take a walk to Kad Luang , a 100 years-old well-known local market, where we can enjoy various local specialty dishes, snacks and sweets from different food stalls. Our tour then continues by rickshaw ride to view part of the old city, ride through the main street in the center of the old city to visit Wat Phra Singh.
Then walk to visit Wat Chedi Luang, seen the ancient massive chedi was built around mid-1400s, which was ruined by a strong earthquake.
Stroll around the old city on foot, passing several old temples, to visit Chiangmai Art and Culture Center, (subject to be opened).
Late afternoon, return to the hotel by local transportation.

WT - 02 WT-02 Elephant care program (L)
In the morning, transfer to Elephant camp for experience to learn and interact with elephant as what the mahout would do daily. The training program includes: an overview of the elephant camp management and breeding program, a daily care procedure and instructions on how to approach, control, feed, bath, walk elephants and baby elephants, and hiking to find elephant in the bush. At noon, you setting of for a long uphill trip to the waterfall area for a picnic lunch and refresh in the water with the elephant. After lunch, elephant riding back to meet with vehicle. Then we take picture and farewell with the elephants. Transfer to hotel late afternoon.
Pick up time will be confirmed once the tour has confirmed.
WT- 03 Full Day Doi Inthanon National park – Karen & Hmong hill tribe village - Waterfall (L) ( NO HIKING)
We take a scenic drive to visit the highest mountain in Thailand. Doi Intanon, the highest peak stands at 2,565 meters above sea level. We will visit the highest spot of Thailand, the Two Chedi, dedicated for the king and the Queen to commemorate their 60th birthday anniversary, enjoy the beautiful panorama view from these Chedi. Because of its wide altitude range and the cool climate in its upper reaches, the park supports the largest number of bird species in Thailand such as the Green Tail Sunbird, which is the endemic specie here. The forest of the park is one of the country’s most important heritages. Also visit attractive Wachiratarn waterfalls, Royal project station. Lunch will be served at the King’s Royal Project restaurant in the national park. Learn about how the king helps the people after they have to stop growing opium. A chance to visit Karen & Hmong tribal villages, learn the way of life of the ethnic people how they live in a present day.
WT 04 –Full Day Doi Inthanon National park - Karen Village (L) (HIKING)
Pick up from the hotel, drive to visit Doi Inthanon, the highest peak in Thailand. It stands at 8,415 feet above sea level. We will first visit the Karen village, see their traditional way of life and try their organic coffee. We start hiking from the village, the trial will lead you pass stunning view of the village rice terrace, then hike through the dense forest that cover the village view. The park is one of the country’s most important heritages. About an hour we will reach the beautiful Pha Dok SeawWaterfall, then will cross the bamboo bridge continue hiking along the cascade until we meet with our transportation. Lunch will be served at a restaurant in the national park. After lunch, we will drive up to the summit and a short walk on a nature study Angkha Trail. On the way down will stop at visit the two Chedi dedicated to the King and Queen of Thailand, commemorating their 60th birthday anniversaries. (Hiking time is approximately 2.5 hours)

WT 05 –Full Day Doi Suthep Temple, Hmong hill tribe village &Phuping Palace (L)
At 8:00 AM, drive up to 3,000 feet above sea level to visit Wat Prathat Doi Suthep or Doi Suthep temple, one of the most important temple in Lanna Thai. Learn about how this temple situate on the high spot, beautiful architecture, then will drive through the dense of hill evergreen forest to visit the Hmong tribe village. This village still live primitively, although, they live not far away from town. On the way, opportunity to visit the coffee plantation research station, one of the king’s project and Phuping Winter Palace, enjoy the beautiful ground of the garden. (Subjected to be open) Have lunch at the local restaurant and return back to your hotel.
NOTE: There are two Hmong tribe villages in this area; we always take people to the less-commercial one.
WT 06-–Full Day Doi Suthep Temple, City Temple, Local Market (L)
The most famous temple in Chiang Mai, located at the top of Doi Suthep Mountain. Once you have reached the temple, you can enjoy the best views of Chiang Mai city, from 3,000ft above the ground. Learn about the history of this temple and how it came to be constructed so high up the mountain. We continue explore around Chiang Mai City, visit temples in the old city, such as Wat Phra Singh, and Wat Suan Dok. These temples offer a service whereby monks will chat to tourists and educate them in Buddhist beliefs and explain how a monk lives on a daily basis. Lunch will be served at local restaurant. Then visit the oldest market in Chiang Mai city, see the northern people sale and buy different varieties of famous local food. Return to your hotel
WT 07 –Full Day Merit making, Doi Suthep Temple & Chiang Mai City Art and Culture Center
An early morning special, gain one of the memorable spiritual experiences, as most of the Thai daily rituals do offering food to the monks, be part of this ritual. We will stop at the local market to buy some food packets for the monks, see hundreds of monks and novices walk down to the foot hill with their alms bowls to receive food from people. After breakfast, we will drive up the mountain to visit one of the most important temples, Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, situated 3,000ft above sea level. Once you have reached the temple, you can enjoy the best views of Chiang Mai city. Your guide will tell you the history of this temple and how it came to be constructed so high up the mountain. Then, we will take a trip to visit Chiang Mai City Art and Culture Center. Learn about very many different aspects of Chiang Mai’s history but also Chiang Mai today. Return to your hotel.
WT 08 -Full day Merit Making - Wat Ton Kwen – traditional Lanna house museum – monk chat – Wat Umong (L)
An early morning special, an orientation about Buddhism & Lanna Life. Gain one of the memorable spiritual experiences, as most of the Thai daily rituals do offering food to the monks, be part of this ritual. We will stop at the local market to buy some food packets for the monks, see hundreds of monks and novices walk down to the foot hill with their alms bowls to receive food from people. After breakfast at the hotel, drive to the countryside to visit Wat Ton Kwen, the old temple date back about 150 years, which still preserved in traditional Lanna Style. You will enjoy the peaceful surrounding which less travelers. Then travel back to the previous of life of Lanna period, visit Lanna Traditional House Museum and gain some knowledge of the pass, the architect history and how people live in these typical traditional houses in the former time.
After lunch at local restaurant, we have a special meeting with monk chat program, understanding monk life in the temple and also lean a basic teaching of Buddha and meditation.
Last stop at Wat Umong, forestry temple, with ancient tunnels. Explore the original beautiful painting inside and purpose of these unusual tunnels.
